Measuring the circularity of a voice coil with the Mitutoyo Digital Optical Profile Projector

Dimensionally checking parts for design verification and mass production approval requires precision measurements. We have a well-equipped metrology facility with a surface plate, digital height gauge with electronic touch probe, gauge blocks, gauge pins and associated tools. Most dimensional verifications can be performed in house. Warkwyn also has access to a local nuclear grade metrology lab for consultation and special cases if required.

The Digital optical profile projector has built in math functions for circularity. This non-contact tool is great for soft parts where the measurement tool might affect the measurement.  For 3D profile measurement the Laser scanner (SCN) can be used to measure geometry. The resulting file can be exported to CAD for comparison.
